If you do show ip route 0.0.0.0 then you will see two next hops. There will
be an asterisk next to one. Send some data and do it again and you will see
that the aster will move to the other next hop occasionally.

                Why shouldn't there be a "*" ? You have two candidate
default routes. It's just that the display will show equal cost routes on
top of each other.
