Hi all,

I was upgrading my flash memory when the router came up with this message

ERR: Invalid chip id 0x80B5 (reversed = 0x1AD ) detected in System flash
The bootstrap Software is BOOTFLASH: 3000 Bootstrap Software (IGS-RXBOOT),
Version 10.2(5), RELEASE SOFTWA
RE (fc1)

The flash already contains an IOS from the previous router..and it works ok. I
can upload f to TFTP server and all, but I can't download a new IOS to the
flash.
Was thinking if I could move this 2 piece of flash to another router and upload
IOS, and then moved them back to this router...will it work. It seems that the
router has no problem of reading the flash.is just the part of writing into the
flash...

Has anybody has the same problem, The other router with Bootstrap Software
version 11.0 doesn't seems to have any problem.... or how can I upgrade this
Bootstrap software(/Hardware ? ) ?

Thanks in advance
Donny
