I don't wish to sound unhelpful here as this is definitely not my intention.
That said, why don't you lab it and test it. You can use debugs and sniffers
to see what is going on and in my mind this will reinforce your knowledge.
This is just my advice, but I found that when I didn't know something
(unless I needed to know the answer there and then) I would always try and
lab things.
