RE: Question on IPX and ISDN home lab

I bought one of those Simline simulators and have been very pleased with the
performance.

I thought about getting real ISDN connectivity from my local provider, but
then thought that the Return on Investment for the simulator would be
greater.

I can always re-sell the simulator for close to what I paid for it. The
money to a service provider cannot be returned.

my $.02

Hi Mike !!!

Yes, you'll need a MAU (IBM 8228), you can find them cheap on Ebay ($ 10.00
is about the going price) and cables.

As far as the ISDN, you can find a "cheap" ISDN simulator at
www.cheapisdn.com (I think the rate is $ 1250.00 and sometimes more for
other vendor's ISDN Simulator.

If you don't want to shell out that $$$$, you may try a rack rental. Please
check out the archives of this group for details....

good luck !!
