The book is correct .
"ppp pap sent-username r1 password 54321 " on R1
matches " username r1 password 54321" on R2.

HI ALL,
I am reading the book "ccie practical studio"
At page 284th,I think the following is obviously wrong,please confirm:
Step 2 On the host router,add a username equal to that of the remote
router's host name that is dialing into your network.
On the remote router add a username equal to that of the host router's host
name.The passwords that you assign to the two usernames must match exactly.
The error is that "The passwords that you assign to the two usernames must
match exactly."
Here is my example: two passwords are different(if according to that
book,they are should the same)
R1:
hostname r1
username r2 password 12345
ppp authentication pap
ppp pap sent-username r1 password 54321
R2:
hostname r2
username r1 password 54321
ppp authentication pap
ppp pap sent-username r2 password 12345
