4 isn't the max. But it all depends on where you handle it. DigitalLink
has an Imux that will handle 7 T-1's for a 10meg circuit. (If memory
serves, it's a DL3800 or something like that)
But for software-related multilink, which I believe is what the question
was asking, 4 is the max (AFAIK) mostly because of the software
processing that goes on in order to maintain the bundle.
That may be an evolving thing as well, depending on the equipment/memory
you have.

Even I know few other vendors , but the max is 4T1s. Can someone explain

Does anyone know definitely the max # of T1's (Syncrhonous Serial)
interfaces that can be inverse multiplexed using Multilink PPP. I
checked the Cisco Web site and I saw 4 ?
