Hello Phil

You need a modem that supports V.25bis and from that point on it pretty
straight forward (similar to ISDN).
Enable V.25 bis on the modem, plug a normal Cisco DTE cable into the modem
and then configure it as if it were an ISDN line.

Subject: OT: synchronous dialup over serial 0 or 1 on 2500 with POTS

Howdy dial gurus,

Has anyone ever configured synchronous dialup over the synchronous serial
interfaces on the 2500 using the

serial 0 or serial 1 over POTS line?

I found in the archives how to config asynchronous dialup using the AUX port
(thanks Tim Ouellette!) but I'm

wondering if any of you guys/gals have already done that and even if it's
possible.

Many thanks,

Phil
