Hi Ludwig.
If we were to use dialer-list to deny routing protocol, I guess the routers
may not be able to learn routes dynamically through the ISDN link.
For example, if we use dialer-list to deny EIGRP routing protocol, as in the
following example:
dialer-list 1 protocol ip list 101
access-list 101 deny eigrp any any
access-list 101 permit ip any any
EIGRP hello packets will not be propagated over to the remote router. Same
if OSPF is used.
We can make use of backup interfaces to maintain the learning of routes.
For RIP and IGRP, we can use snapshot routing, and for OSPF, we can use
demand-circuit. I am not sure for EIGRP, but backup interfaces is my choice
to maintain the learning of EIGRP routes.
