I have read this before I sent my email of course.
Sometimes I think that CCO documentation is purposely written to confuse us
all.
Anyways, my question still stands in the following example (which is cut and
paste from the link that you have just sent me)
Examples
The following example establishes bridging between a transparent-bridge
network and a source-route network:
source-bridge ring-group 9
source-bridge transparent 9 6 2 2
!
interface tokenring 0
source-bridge 5 2 9
!
interface token ring 1
source bridge 4 2 9
!
interface ethernet 0
bridge-group 2
!
interface ethernet 1
bridge-group 2
bridge 2 protocol ieee
That all fine but
'source-bridge transparent 9 6 2 2' which one is the first (2) is that the
token ring bridge-number or Ethernet bridge-number.
In the example (intensionally for confusion sake) both are the same.

I have an issue here in regards to 'Source-bridge transparent...' command.
If we have the following configs on a router:
source-bridge ring-group 100
source-bridge transparent 100 1000 ? ?

If we need to bridge (Translational) between Ethernet and Token ring
interafces on the same router, we will need to use the following command:
'source-bridge trasparent 100 1000 <?> <?>'
100 = virtual ring number (Token ring)
1000= pseudo ring number
<?>= Does this number equals the ehternet bridge-groupe number in this case
(2) ???
<?>= Does this numnber equals the token ring bridge number in this case (1)
???
All the examples I have seen at CCO are confusing because they are using the
same number.
