I use the command "line vty 5 20 " to increase the telnet lines. Then I open
up all the terminal sessions at the same time. Now with the "Send " command
from the terminal server I am able to send a message that contains a "ping"
command to an address to all terminals to have them all simultaneously ping
the same address. Also you can send any command to all routers such as
"write", "show ip ospf" neighbors", etc. This may save you a lot of time on
the lab test in verifying your configuration. I am not sure if the lab
proctors will allow this access to the terminal server but I think that the
only restriction is that you cannot change any configuration on the terminal
server?
The format is
Send *
ping 1.1.1.1
ctrlZ
or
Send *
write
ctrlZ
etc.
