It depends on the interface type the MAC comes from.
DLSW treats all MACs as non-can. Token-ring uses non-can natively. Ethernet
uses Cannonical. Therefore,
filters for token ring macs are applied as they are found on the interface.
Ethernet MACs must be bit-swapped on a byte-by-byte basis when a filter is
applied.
