Token ring cards and cables and MAUs are easy to find on ebay, and very cheap.
I can't believe the trouble some people go to to avoid token ring, what with v
irtual token interfaces and the like. Gosh people, you can stick a 5 or 10 dol
lar used token ring card in the same pc that you are using to control your rout
ers, and an old Pentium 166 to use as a second PC costs next to nothing.
The problem for me is that I am used to using PCs with token ring cards and/or
ethernet cards to make source-route bridging and DLSW work the way it is suppos
ed to, and I will not have these nice PCs in the lab to kick start DLSW and tes
t whetehr it is working. There is nothing like Windows browsing to get DLSW to
fill its reachability cache. I will need top get really familiar with this DS
PU stuff.
Best regards,

I will have to get used to that DSPU command.

Steven,
There is a command named "dspu" something to test
a dlsw config, please see the archive where it was discussed before.
For me, I don`t like that command. Normally I use PCs
at both side of dlsw configured routers which using
"dlsw bridge-group 1" to bridge between the ethernet segments.
That way I only need an UTP cables to connect the ethernet
port of the router and PC. No need to use PC with token-ring card
which I believe hardly to find.
