Hi Group,
In working with Cisco equip in the field, I often find
that knowledge of unix (particularly Solaris) is
helpful. Usually in the racks beside the
routers/switches are Sun Netras running BIND, Web
servers, etc and it is always good to know enough about
Solaris to do some basic troubleshooting/administration.
I know that there are lots of resources available for
Solaris admin, but does anyone have any good links or
resources for a condensed "cheat sheet" of commands (ie.
ifconfig, ndd, etc). I am looking for something that is
detailed enough to show the params for the commands,
because I can usually remember the command (ie sar) but
I cannot remember the params to pull the info that I
need (ie memory util.) And of course going to the man
pages can be frustrating and time-consuming.
I am particularly interested in network interface stats,
network config, and general performance monitoring
(memory, cpu, disk ,etc). Please let me know if any of
you have run across any helpful resources.
Thanks,
Bob Dixon
