Hello everyone. I'm have a question concerning the
summary command when used w/ ISIS. If you want refer
to p. 652 Doyle vlm#1 I set up that network and am
now playing with the summary. First, I would like to
mention that his statement on p.657 didn't jive w/ my
route table. @ the time, when I set it up just like he
had it and made Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam L1
routers I could still see the default router 0.0.0.0
0.0.0.0 in the tables - even after I cleared the FIB
and the clns process. Second, my biggest question is
that when I put a summary-address on London and clear
the FIB my routers still show not only the the /22 but
also (3) /24's that I summarized in that /22. Why do I
still see the more specific routes in the route table?
Check out the sh ip route at the bottom. Thanks in
advance for your help on this!
