Yes,
Basically trick your machine into installing the doc cd from a fictitious
location and then always run the program from the same fictitious location.

I use this on my laptop. Windows machines support the command "subst" this
substitutes any drive letter for a path. So using a normal laptop with only
C: drive and a CDrom located at D:
Start with the Doc Install CD in the D: drive
Use the command "subst X: D:\" where X=anyletter and D=doc install location
Run the install from location X:
copy the run cd to your hardrive
Use the subst command "subst X: C:\ciscocd\doc" where \ciscocd\doc=path to
the run cd files copied
You can then use the autoplay or launch the cd manually on X:
you will always have to issue the "subst" command prior to using the
documentation cd
or add it to your autoexec.bat file

Subject: Taking the Doc CD offline

Groupmembers,

Does anyone know a way to take the documentation CD offline,
so you can use it locally on your hard drive?

Thanks,
