Dan,
This is related to a bus control error. Basically it could be software or
hardware. Capture a show stack from the system and throw it into the Cisco
output interpreter to see exactly what happened. Off the cuff sounds like an
IOS issue.

I got this on a 1604 using 12.2 code while running it as a
ppp callback server over dialer profiles with rotary groups, dialer watch &
ppp one way chap.
Am I pushing the limits of this router?
It is also running BGP, OSPF, IPX EIGRP & IPX RIP.
