I don't see a problem there. That should be a valid case. However it doesn't
look very resilient because the R1--R2 link is common, so if this one fails
then all fails.

I have a scenario where R1--R2--R3
R2 is dlsw remote backup
R3 is dlsw remote primary
I was wondering how R2 is backup R3.
So if I shut down R3, would it fail over to R2 and R2 become primary peer ?
