I have not read his book, but I know the author and he is a very smart guy.
I cannot remember if he actually did the whole design of the phone system in
Venezuela, or some other 3rd world type country or just the MPLS part. At
any rate I would recommend his book based on my knowledge of him not
necessarily the book.

I've written a book from the ISP perspective, but it won't be
available until June: Building Service Provider Networks (Wiley).
My WAN Survival Guide (also Wiley) does get into professional ISP
connectivity, but from the enterprise side.
