I am working on a scenario where I have a default route pointing to BRI
0, (ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 bri 0)
I am also using a backup interface so that when the BRI link comes up I
will see the default route then but not when the frame link is up. I
have been pinging different IPs through out the network, and the
interesting thing I have noticed is that I can only ping a network once
I have added a (dialer map ip x.x.x.x) for the interface that I want to
ping. There is no routing protocol running over the ISDN and I was
hoping somebody has run into this before and found a way for it to work.
If I point my ip route statement to the other side of the ISDN link then
it will work, but I will see a default network, which I don't want,
while the ISDN is in standby. Any help would be appreciated
Jason
