So am I out of my rocker to suggest that this isn't likely to appear on an
exam? I think I've seen this in the archives but never an answer....is
there a way to set up a router as a MN?

I too saw the MN requirements in the configuration guide...I've just never
seen a "mobile aware IP stack".

Actually, CCO states that the MN must have an IP stack that is mobile aware,
because all communication between the MN and the HA must be authenticated,
and it has to send registration messages to the HA and FA.

>From CCO:

Because Mobile IP requires support on the host device, each mobile node must
be appropriately configured for the desired Mobile IP service. Please refer
to the manual entries in your mobile aware IP stack vendor documentation for
details.

I dont think there is any type of config on it. It is totally transparent to
then user. And from the router side at local and foreign IRDP will take care
of the default routing for the user.
