4000 and FE port

Is FE port compatible with 4000M+ , i am getting the following error. If
someone have its remedy then please let me know.
I have just installed FE port in my 4000 and now its is saying
"%NIM-2-BADNIMID: Bad NIM ID (0x14) in Slot 1."

Just want to make sure that this works with 4000 or not. Or some IOS upgrade
will do the trick.
