Gregg from what I have learned CDP is truly not supported over ATM by Cisco. I
t
will at times work depending on hardware or configuration. For example I think
it works over LANE and maybe 1483 bridged pvcs since these will bridge packets.
There are several places on the Cisco web site that say it is not supported but
less that report that it is supported such as the one you pointed out. There h
as
been a bug filed to get this supported across ATM in a normal manner and last I
heard this is now supported in 12.2.7T2. In the meantime you might want to try
show atm pnni neighrbor command on the ATM switch to get some similar info.
