EIGRP - External Distance

Guys,

I seem to be unable to selectively change the administrative distance of eigrp
external routes. This could be a problem in some redistribution scenarios. Se
ems the following command only affects internal routes:

router eigrp 1
distance 220 1.1.1.1 0.0.0.0 1

I can affect the AD of external routes with the following command:

distance eigrp 90 220

But it does not take an access list argument.

Never noticed this before. Have you? I am running 12.1(11)
