It depends on how they want it to be assigned.
If all DLCIs attached to the interface can use the same queue list &
FRTS is not a requirement attach it direct to the interface.
If you must use FRTS, or apply different queueing methods to differnt
DLCIs then apply them with map-classes.

yes, you are right and that's how I configure FRTS. The question is
what of the two methods you think meets the requiremt? just to apply the
custom-list under the physical interface with no FRTS or to use FRTS (a
class with no fair-queue, cq instead) and apply to the DLCI (this
implies not to use custom-list under the interface since it's already
configured within the class) ? ...

If you specify FRTS under an interface you cannot apply a custom-queue
list, or priority list to that interface.
You MUST attach them to the FRTS & the DLCIs they apply to.

Hey guys, I have one question about CQ .... I do understand how to
calculate the byte-count and how to assign these values to queues ....
The point is, let said I have a FR multipoint sub-if and I'm required
to
prioritize dlsw and assign certain byte-count according the
frame-size.
How should I apply the queue-list to the interface? .... should I
configure it as custom-list under the physical interface or as FRTS
using a map-class? ... Would it be possible to apply the custom-list
under the physical interface and have the same result as with FRTS?
...
cheers,

u have to open ports on dlsw to get the priority it need at dlsw.
that is 1981,1982 and 1983 and 2065 befault open
Then do priority on these port by using extented access-list
