Try "no peer neighbor-route" on the async interfaces, that will remove the
/32 ppp route for the opposite side, see how that works out. If you use
debug ip ospf mon, you will probably see the lsa change for that route. I
thought I saw something else on this situation, because the async interface
doesn't spoof up, when it goes down it also causes an lsa change causing it
to dial again. Let us know how it goes.
