I just was in NMC1 and it is well worth the money. Hope Val, Fred, and
Bruce are reading....grin. Seriously, well worth the money. Plan on
getting little rest though....everything is jam packed. Class is from
8:30AM til about 10:00 PM and they stay open til midnight so that you can
have time on the racks. Everyone has their own racks now too. Very
beneficial.
I would recommend that you take NMC1 about half way through your CCIE study
plan. It is hard to get a lot out of the class if you are just getting
started...you'll be overwhelmed. I suggest half-way because there is a lot
of valuable guidance on how to form your test taking strategy as well as the
pure technical info. Take the class before you start preparing your
strategy. I waited too long and am having a hard time breaking time-wasting
*habits*.
Take NMC2 a few weeks before you sit for the lab. Give yourself a few weeks
to debrief and then go for it.

I went to the class before the name changed to NetMasters and I would highly
recommend it. It was fantastic and really brought out the gotcha's that will
creep up in the lab exam. Having been to the lab I can say that the type of
gotcha's that were presented through the material in the class were also
many of the same traps tha I found in my lab exam.
If the class follows the same kind of format I would recommend attending it
a month or 2 before your lab to give time to go back over the material
presented and to practice identifying potential problem areas/gotcha's in
the written tasks before you run into them through configuration.
Very very helpful. The class seemed to be designed toward people who already
had a level of confidence and capability with all of the protocols you might
find in the lab. In other words it was not designed to teach you
RIP/IGRP/OSPF/BGP/PIM/Bridging etc. but to teach the caveates of each and
the pitfalls when integrating them. Excellent class.

Subject: CCIE Classes
Hi,
I'm wonderig if anyone has any feedback on these
classes. I'm looking to take one before my lab date.
RS-NMC-1 (Net Master Class)
RS-NMC-2 (Net Master Class)
CyscoExpert Labs
Global Knowledge (CCIE MOCK LAB or ACP classes)
Which one would be best for preperation ?
Thanks,
AD
