Subject: 4th Attempt
Now my turn. Yup, I passed at the 4th attempt on the 22nd in Brussels. That
coveted number is now mine!
Yes, I read the same books, tried the same lab scenarios as most people, but
all I want to add is for those attempting it either for the first or
umpteenth time, to persevere. After failing the 3rd attempt last month, and
feeling very down about it, I picked myself up and went back to it. Keeping
that belief in myself that I could do it, getting back onto the routers and
practising. Getting those configs in quickly (and correctly!)
If you have failed, don't give up. If you really want it, it is there for
you. I have had the self doubts, the mood swings, the late nights, early
mornings, the sheer frustration of getting it wrong, (and then the next day
seeing the stupid mistake that was made.) as I'm sure others have. Keep with
it. You are not alone, we are there too.
My thanks to my employer, Telindus, for sticking by me, and paying the way!
My wife and family for putting up with my moods and supporting me (now I can
finish tiling the bathroom!) Paul and you guys and gals for this great place
for info and help. And Gert, the proctor in Brussels, for giving me the
number!
Best of luck to those about to give it a go. The final result is worth it!
Now to go and de-stress!
