How about if you move the summary-address command to
the Cochran router? This way EIGRP would have a
neighbor on tne serial interface and might summarize
the route.
Does anyone know offhand if the ip summary-address
changed behavior between 11.2 and 12.x code, since
vol1 doyle is based on 11.2 or if this is truly a
error in the book? I know they corrected some
redistribution stuff in newer IOS releases (ie: the
ospf redist connected changes). It does make sense for
EIGRP to not summarize a route on a passive-interface.
