It looks to be true ... I just went up to the online scheduling tool and
Halifax testing center is not listed anymore as a choice.
I guess it fell prey to the corporate downsizing that we all are feeling
over the past 6 months.
On the plus side of things, it looks like Cisco has caught up on the
available lab dates. It is not like it was 6-9 months ago where you had
to beg, borrow or trade for an early lab date. I just checked RTP and
San Jose and they both have good available of early dates including next
week if you needed.
I will definitely shed a tear or two once Halifax does close. I enjoyed
my time up north in Canada, doing the lab, not sleeping, and tossing
back a few of those high-octane beers they have up there.
As Douglas Adams once said, "So long and thanks for all the fish."
Mike and the gang up north will be missed.

Subject: Halifax Lab closure in May 2002
Say it isn't so... I got a message from Gail Dean, Cisco Systems
regarding the
closure of the Halifax CCIE LAB in May, 2002.
Anybody interested in sending a strong message to keep this site open?
