The interfaces themselves are modular but the numbering is still fixed. The fi
rst slot (on the left side from the back) is Serial 0 and the middle slot is se
rial 1 thus making the last slot always bri 0.

Subject: OT: 2524 and 2525 Interface numbering

I have a question that I can't seem to find on CCO.

If you have a 2524 or 2525 router and you have nothing in the serial 0
slot and a serial module in the serial 1 slot is the serial port
numbered 1 or 0?

I don't have access to one right now and don't have that much experience
with them.

Thanks.
