Best thing to do to be 200% sure is to :

router#show ip interfaces

This will always tell you what they are in. Why try to make sense out of
the rules when the router will tell you? If you have it off, and you
understand what you are doing, turn it on. The reverse is, if you have
it on and you want to turn it off, do so if you know what you are doing.

I could never remember the whole gamut of
on/off/multi/logical/point/etc.etc.
