Yes I tested by taking a router as a host, disabling
ip routing on it, On the two gateways running irdp,
enabled proxy arp.
Then did a trace route from the router as a host to a
remote network, Changed preference on the two irdp
router and saw the path taken varied depending on the
preference, And it all the time took the lesser
preference path.
