Thanks for the replies.
I am still struggling with this issue.
I can't think of any other possible causes than ios version in R1, which is
version 10.
Well, the routes are in the routing table, but can't ping.
It shakes the whole logic of my networking.

It is not me who is having problem with the configuration, I just copied
the configs and addresses from Jeongwoo Park <Jpark@wams.com> who first
posted this thread and I applied it to my routers... It is working fine as
you can see and the routing tables so. Sorry if I confused you with the
subinterface, that's because it's not that identical to Jeongwoo's config, I
have frame-relay on the R1-R2 link.
