I notice while playing around with Administrative distance to solve routing
loops that newer IOS allows you to put an AD on a ip summary address
command. I would usually manipulate routes from outside the router to have
a different AD to prefer or drop the route if you already have the same
route from another protocol. Since you generate the summary is there any
practical use to assigning an AD to your summary ? I could see the point of
adjusting a metric since this goes outside the router but AD is local to the
router. Perhaps I'm just not imaginative enough in using this feature. I
do see that it is not an option on some of my IOS 11.x versions.
