DLSW direct encaps issue

All,

I have two 2503's with 12.0.9 on them. I set up DLSW lite (llc2/lack) and
all works OK as per the following config.

Router1
Dlsw local-peer peer-id 1.1.1.1
Dlsw remote-peer 0 frame-relay int s 0 25
Dlsw bridge-group 1

Int s0
Encaps frame-relay
Ip address 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.0
Frame-relay map ip 1.1.1.2 25 broad
Frame-relay map llc2 25

Int e0
Bridge-group 1
....
....

bridge 1 prot ieee

Router1
Dlsw local-peer peer-id 1.1.1.2
Dlsw remote-peer 0 frame-relay int s 0 25
Dlsw bridge-group 1

Int s0
Encaps frame-relay
Ip address 1.1.1.2 255.255.255.0
Frame-relay map ip 1.1.1.1 52 broad
Frame-relay map llc2 52

Int e0
Bridge-group 1
....
....

This all works fine. When I add the pass-thru command to the remote-peer
statement and change the frame-relay map to dlsw instead of llc2, the peers
go into an exchange_cap_wait state and then disconnect. When I put this on
two 2504's with the same code everything works fine. I checked the media
matrix and it says that in 12.0 ethernet to ethernet support for DLSW direct
encaps was added.

Do you think this is just a code issue or have I missed something here? Is
it possible that when using the pass-thru command the remote side not being
token ring cannot ack the llc2 frames?

Cheers,
