If you want Debug output to go to syslog it might be a good idea to issue:
logging trap 7
The default logging level for syslog is infomational (level 6).

Subject: syslog and debug command
when setting up to log to a syslog server:
#logging 192.168.1.1
do i need to also issue debug commands like when logging to the console?
for example, to send isdn events and ip packet info, would it be necessary
to also do:
#debug isdn events
#debug ip packet
are any other commands required to make sure the right info is sent to the
syslog server? also, is it possible to use authentication between the
router and syslog server?
best regards,
tony
