MULTIRING [ALL] [IP,IPX,etc] is for Source Route Bridging on Token Ring
(SRB) not SRT or TRANSPARENT BRIDGING on ETH.

Example, if you have a bridge that is in Source Route Bridging mode, you
better have that router listen and adapt to RIF's. This is what the
command multiring does. I usually just do multiring all and be done with
it. But be aware of the options in case you are asked to only SRB a
specific protocol.
