The 2500 series routers take 2 mb for shared memory from the dram hence you hav
e 14 mb for main memory and 2 mb for shared memory on a 16 mb system.

Subject: 2500 DRAM

Any ideas on why a 2500 with a 16Mb DRAM only shows up as 14Mb in the show
version command? I have a couple of these that do this, I switched DRAM out
of a router that works correctly and get the same thing. Any ideas are
appreciated. Thank you.

Charles
