Hi all,
I just got home from a very intense week of training in RS-NMC-1 with Bruce
Caslow, Val Pavlichenko, and Fred Ingham. I must concur with Chuck Church's
assessment of the class... they worked our butts off!!! :-)
I have been studying here at home on my routers and I really thought that I
had the "core" topics down cold. I discovered a new dimension to the topics
this week, though.
The most important thing I took away from the class was the realization that
this lab exam is going to be brutal! Here's an analogy...
I've been studying for the lab exam by reaching into this "box" of
technologies encompassed by the CCIE and configuring them on my routers at
home. I've been pulling them out of the box, playing with a few of them, and
putting them back in. Well, Bruce and his merry cohorts came along and kicked
the toybox over! Then they showed me how to do some pretty cool stuff with my
toys. To top that off, they even charged me for upsetting my apple cart!!!
:-)
Seriously, I just wanted to say that I'm thoroughly pleased with the class.
We were in the lab from 8:30 am every morning until 9 or 10 pm every night.
Bruce, Val, and Fred did a wonderful job of filling in gaps in my knowledge
base and answering a lot of questions. They even fed us burritos from Baja
Fresh. My stomach is still rumbling from the "Dos Manos".
Thanks a lot, Bruce, Val, and Fred!

Disclaimer: I have already paid for and taken the NMC-1 class. I'm not
offering this endorsement for any kickbacks or special favors. The burritos
were payment enough. :-)
