Micheal,
Unless cisco has implemented the function of acting like a switch
into the router (which I don't believe they have). You cannot put to
bri back to back, because
there is communications on the D channel that is strictly between a
switch and a router. Two routers back to back would not send each other
the proper responses, on the D channel for the to know that the D
channel is up. Which would not allow the B channels to come up. The
easiest way to think of this is to See the D channel like LMI in
frame-Relay, this is just for example purposes.
