This is probably a stupid question, but here it goes:

Is there any way to encrypt layer 2 traffic, lets say all Ethernet frames
from mac-address AAAAAAAA on one router to mac-address BBBBBBBB on another
router, regardless of whether it is carrying IP, IPX or Appletalk?

Without tunneling the protocol within IP.
