I belive you can do per interface authentication in OSPF, be careful
about the type of interfaces. Two configuration step per interfaces :
config_if#
1.0 Sample password
1.1 ip ospf authentication
1.2 ip ospf authentication-key password
2.0 MD5
2.1 ip ospf authentication message-digest
2.2 ip ospf message-digest-key keyid md5 key

Subject: OSPF authentication
I am working on a lab with three routers that are part of the same
subnet in
a point to multipoint frame configuration. The lab is asking for me to
set
up authentication between only two of the routers not all three. Is
there a
way to set up authentication on only certain devices in an area and not
all
of them? I have never seen this, so I am wondering if the lab is wrong.
But
I am the first to admit that there are lots of things out there that I
have
never seen before.
