Sorry jumped the gun, you're correct "rotary". You could use two dialer
maps, but that will not give you everything you want. The fast idle thought
is a start, but it sounds sticky. Backup interface would work if you did not
need to have a second dialing plan. You could mess with ppp multilink max
links to only bring one link on each dialer interface, but you would split
your bandwidth. HTH...

In our case, we only have one physical interface but two
logical interfaces. Would dialer priority work here?
