It absolutely works. The key that I didn't find in the documentation was
"isdn switch-type basic-net3". It LOOKS like everything works great with
other switch types, but it won't actually make a call until you set that as
the switch type in the routers (and reset ports, spin around, stand on your
head, etc.).

The ISDN simulator from PDS, Simline2; if you connect 2 ISDN routers to it
and configure it properly, does the simulator pass the traffic from one
router to the other?

Or is it simply a device that allows you to verify that your DDR or backup
interface is configured properly and comes up at layer 3?
