Mike,

My job is to test both Native and Hybrid code on CAT6K's. Let me assure you
that all the Hybrid functionality will be in Native soon as well as new
features that will only be implemented in Native down the line. There are
many customers with Hybrid so you will receive support for both. I guess my
question would be if your planning on using it in the core then L3 switching
is your priority? or are you going to use it primarily as an L2 box.
Basically, in addition to SUP2 are you going to implement MSFC2 and PFC2 ?

Some one also chimed in that you could not use 16portGig blade with Hybrid -
INCORRECT
You can't use the new DFC 16port gig only, because it has it's own EARL
complex on the line card and HYBRID has never supported the distributed
model so it's too much work to incorporate it in.

If it's for the current CCIE lab then my recommendation is Hybrid since that
is what you'll be tested on, I imagine...

Just my thoughts...
-Sam
