The Cambridge Suites hotel is also good. Although not as close as the Lord
Nelson, it is only a 5 minute walk. Price is reasonable (well compared to
what we have to pay in the UK and Brussels!), rooms are clean, and food is
good. Still close enough to for shopping, sightseeing along the waterfront
(although, if you have a bad lab, don't get too near the water's edge,
instead try the Keith's brewery tour!)

Many people have asked me this question." Where to stay in Halifax?"
I would recommend Lord Nelson Hotel. www.lordnelsonhotel.com
It is downtown, cheap, and most importantly, directly behind the cisco lab
building.
You walk across the hotel parking lot and you are at the back of the lab
building.
It maximizes sleep time and eliminates any stress in getting up to the lab.
Shopping mall, atm's and pubs/restaurants all across the street.
Most of the recommended hotels are a long walk or cab from the lab.
Lord Nelson does not have high speed internet access, only drawback, but has
all the other amenities.
Cheers
Jason
