An excellent staring point is 6bone, www.6bone.net.

IPv6 has been around for quite some time. Operating systems like *BSD, Linux an
d Solaris
ship with IPv6 stacks. Cisco (www.cisco.com/go/ipv6) started supporting v6
as of May'2001. I use UNIX (www.zebra.org) and Cisco for BGP4+. It's been quite
s stable for me
having the full view of 6bone (250 prefixes). Again, this is a test bed or
bgp playground if you like, not a commercial IX. There are number of ways
you can join 6bone. 6to4 relay (consult RFC3056), static tunnel
(consult RFC2893) or bgp4+ peering with a site closest to you (ie.: me :).
All IPv6 speaking sites can be found at: http://www.cs-ipv6.lancs.ac.uk/ipv6/6B
