I read the TCP/IP vol I by Jeff D, it infact pointed out that in EIGRP
packet, TLV field
has indicate the type of external route learn, ie 0x09 is BGP. But no
external route type information learn by OSPF record in any where in
this book. Could be I am missing something...

I tried the exact same thing, With the only difference
that this time instead of using eigrp i used ospf,
Now on R4 the route which were originaly ? now shows
up as e and the route which were originaly i shows up
correctly.
However this is definatly encouraging than eigrp
behaviour where nothing was working. My version of
code are as follows
R1 11.2 (17)
R2 12.0 (9)
R3 12.1.9
R4 12.0 (15)
R5 12.1.9
