Hi, Group,
I am doing the lab on page 223 of jeff's volume II.
I meet the following problem. When network 172.17.0.0
etc in AS 50 advertise to Zermatt throught As100 AS 50
via ebgp, it's OK, but the router Zermatt also learn
the route from Moritz. Because Morize has the route
and redistribute to IS-IS, then in Zermatt, the route
( by ISIS) 172.17.0.0 is redistributed to BGP, which
is considered local to Zermatt and has weight 32768.
THus Zermatt choose next hop 192.168.2.1 which is his
directly connected interface. as the best. WHen you
show ip route, it shows that the route learn by ISIS
instead of EBGP. THis sounds strange for me.
The BGP table for Zermatt is:
Zermatt#sh ip bgp
BGP table version is 11, local router ID is
172.30.255.254
Status codes: s suppressed, d damped, h history, *
valid, > best, i - internal
Origin codes: i - IGP, e - EGP, ? - incomplete

Can any one help me with this scenario??
