Use set spantree priority 1 <vlan>.
The default priority is 32768. The lowest priority in the vlan becomes the
root bridge. You need to specify the vlan #. If in doubt always check
"show config", cat5000 will show you all the cofigs.

Subject: Solie-labbadugly seting root bridge ?
Hi,
In Solie's third lab , it's asked to swith and router
to be the root bridge in the vlan .
My question is :
use "set spantree root <vlan>" ?
or use " set spantree priority 1 <vlan> " ?
can I use priority 0 ? I think it is better .
Chuck , I am talking about the solie lab . :-)
Congratulations to you !
